Lithology and Thickness
It is divided into two parts: Lower part is formed by intermediate-felsic volcanic rocks (andesite, rhyolite, volcanic conglomerate, and tuff) containing conglomerates and oil shales. Upper part is characterized by coal-bearing clastic rocks (shale, sandstone, gravel, conglomerate) containing tuffacous sanstones and oil shale. It contains abundant fossil plants and sporopollens. Its thickness is in range of 1000~3545 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The Wuyu Gr unconformably contacts with the underlying Mangxiang Fm.
Upper contact
In the type section, no overlying deposit could be seen.
